ARTICLE ONE: NAME
This Club will be a non-profit organization known as North Hills Newcomers and Friends.
ARTICLE TWO: PURPOSE
The purposes of this organization are:
1. To extend a friendly welcome to all newcomers and residents in our communities, to facilitate sharing of common interested, and to promote an interest in our towns.
2. To promote local charitable and civic causes.
ARTICLE THREE: MEETINGS
1. The general meetings of the club will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from September to May. The April meeting will be known as the Annual Meeting. It will be for the purpose of electing the Board, receiving report of officers and committees, and any other business that may arise.
2. Special meetings may be called by teh President, or by the Board. A special meeting may also be called by the written request of ten members of the Club. The purpose of the meeting will be stated in the call. Except in cases of emergency, at least three days' notice shall be given to the membership.
ARTICLE FOUR: MEMBERSHIP
1. Membership is open to all newcomers and residents of the North Hills communities and surrounding areas.
2. Payment of dues establishes this membership and ake the member eligible to vote in elections, to hold a Board position, to chair a committee an to participate in club activities.
3. Membership is required for participation in activities. A non-member may enjoy a one-month trial period to participate in club activities before payment
of dues. Non-members may attend general meetings, but may not vote.
4. An appropriate directory, including by-laws, shall be provided for each member to be used for social purposes only. Any other use of the directory is prohibited.
ARTICLE FIVE: DUES
1. Dues will be paid annually by September 15th to enable members to be included in the directory.
2. New members joining after January 31 will pay one-half the amount of dues for that fiscal year.
3. Those joining in May will pay the dues for the following year.
4. Dues will be determined yearly by the Board.
